As a hard coating with a low coefficient of friction, TM-XCalibur (InvincAlloy) outperforms chrome in wear applications with 2 – 4 times and 3 – 10 times the corrosion resistance of chrome. This coating has some leveling properties, which help maintain surface Ra. TM-Xcalibur is mainly used in high wear, anti-galling, release or corrosive type applications. It can be applied to all ferrous and most non-ferrous metals.

As coated, the hardness is 520 to 750 Vickers. After six hours of heat-treatment at 400 F the hardness increases to 900 to 1100 Vickers. It outperforms Hard Chrome results by 2 to 4 in the pin-on-disc wear-resistance testing. The Deposit and Process are CHROME FREE and better than chrome. The coating is bright, scratch resistant and environmentally friendly.
