E-Krome Electroless Nickel
Don’t let the name fool you — Techmetals’ E-Krome is an innovative, Electroless Nickel plating process.
This coating offers a uniform finish with a resistance equal or greater than hexavalent chrome — allowing a robust solution without the environmental concerns. We think of it as electroless chrome. E-Krome has a Rockwell hardness of 63, and it’s low coefficient of friction helps in parts being used in difficult wear applications. This helps reduce the need for post-plate grinding or polishing as well.
