Chem Film is used in metal finishing to help protect against corrosion and is also an excellent base for painting. Also known as alodine, iridite and chromate, this conversion coating is typically applied to an aluminum part to offer the improvements listed above. Once applied, this deposit allows the part to remain electrically conductive, making it attractive for a variety of industry applications.
